Four Garden Classic in Merion Village
When your current vegetable garden just isn’t cutting it.
I met this client during our consultation in early 2020, just weeks before the stay at home order went into place.
She had an existing kitchen garden, but felt that it was hard to maintain and it was having some structural issues. They had a beautiful backyard in the Merion Village area of Columbus, Ohio and wanted a kitchen garden that complimented their space.
They also had a young son and they were looking forward to getting him involved in the garden and were hoping it would be a place were they could spend time together as a family.
Before
Shortly after the shutdown, when I was worried I’d have to shut down my business temporarily, this client reached out to me and said that more than ever they wanted their kitchen garden installed.
We figured out how to get it installed completely contact free and even expanded the original design to include more raised beds.
We added four cedar raised beds with two arched trellises, dark gravel to match an existing paver patio, and blackberry bushes along the garden’s edge.
The result was stunning.

These clients ended up having an amazing growing year in this beautiful space. It has been a joy to watch them grow together as a family and I’m so grateful to them for their vision and commitment to their garden during uncertain times.
